What You're Purchasing

When you buy our E-Book, Playbook, or any digital product from American Mahjong, you are purchasing a personal-use license to access and use the files — you are not purchasing ownership of the content itself. All course materials, including written lessons, printable sheets, graphics, and branding, remain the intellectual property of American Mahjong / About Town.

Permitted Use

Your purchase entitles you to:

Download and save your files for your own personal use
Print the Playbook sheets for use at your own games
Access your files across your own personal devices (phone, tablet, computer)
Share the general experience with friends by inviting them to buy their own copy — we appreciate it!

Prohibited Use

Your purchase does not entitle you to:

Resell, redistribute, or share your files with anyone who has not purchased them
Post, upload, or share the E-Book or Playbook content publicly (including on social media, forums, or file-sharing sites)
Use our content to create a competing product or course
Claim authorship of our materials

Note: Violating these terms may result in loss of access to future purchases and, where applicable, legal action to protect our intellectual property.

Digital Delivery

All products are delivered digitally and instantly upon successful payment. It is your responsibility to provide an accurate email address at checkout, as this is how your download link will be delivered. If you don't receive your files, please check your spam folder first, then contact us and we'll resolve it promptly.

Pricing and Payment

All prices are listed in USD and are subject to change without notice. Payment is processed securely through Stripe at the time of purchase. You may notice "About Town FZCO" as the billing name on your statement — this is the company that operates American Mahjong and processes your payment securely.

Accuracy of Content

We've worked hard to make sure our course content is accurate, clear, and genuinely useful for learning American Mahjong. However, mahjong rules and scoring can vary slightly by region, house rules, and the specific NMJL Card edition in use — we recommend always confirming official scoring details against your current year's published Card for competitive or tournament play.

Limitation of Liability

American Mahjong and About Town are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our products or website. Our products are provided for educational and entertainment purposes.
